Laika, named after the first dog in space, is the opener of the EP and the oldest song on the record. It’s gone through a lot of changes, from a shorter jazzy ballad to an epic with a zillion time changes. The final tune is a bit more streamlined, but remains pretty darn proggy, super heavy and capped off with an guitar crescendo section that we've come to call the "celestial bit."
